KOCHI (PTI): Southern Naval Command carried out a two-day Coastal Security Awareness Campaign (CSAC) along the coastal villages of Malappuram District.
The campaign was formally inaugurated on Thursday at Fish Landing Centre, Osana kadappuram, Tanur, and also undertaken at Puthiya Kadappuram on Thursday.
Department of Fisheries and State Police also participated in the Campaign which also held at Ponnani Fishing Harbour and Koottayi Matsya Bhavan Office on Friday.

Navy said the efforts put in by the Indian Navy was widely appreciated by the local body officials.
Such Campaigns are being conducted on a monthly basis at various coastal districts of Kerala as an ongoing process of enlightening and educating the coastal populace, Navy said.
