Few leading countries in the world, including the US, China, Russia and India are carrying out extensive research in designing and developing hi-tech weapons, systems and platforms.
The Brahmand World Defence Update 2014 has attempted to provide an exclusive overview of such trends by incorporating "Emerging Technologies in Modern Warfare" segment for nine important countries.
This new addition promises to provide fresh impetus to the yearbook by focusing on major military technologies such as Nano, Bio and Info technology, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Sensors, Material technology, Space technology, Missile technology and Hypersonics etc.
The book has comprehensively complied defence-related data on 113 countries by listing their weapons inventory, ongoing and future arms procurement plans, important political and defence personnel and defence spending along with their conflict areas, internal as well international.
It has also provided detailed strategic information on 30 important countries selected from each continent/region with key focus on their geopolitical importance, strategic relations, threat perspective, defence capabilities and defence budget trends.
Coming out in an all-new paperback edition, Brahmand World Defence Update 2014 would be extremely useful for armed forces and defence establishments, research institutions, academia, think tanks and even for general readers keen to know about defence-related developments.
