IAF celebrates 81st Air Force Day

HINDON (BNS): The Indian Air Force on Tuesday celebrated its 81st anniversary at the Hindon air force station, New Delhi.

C-17 Globemaster, IAF's biggest transport aircraft made its maiden appearance. BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile integrated with Su-30 MKI along with Tigermoth, a vintage carrier and C-130J aircraft were on display during the grand event.

Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne reviewed the parade during the 81st Air Force Day function which was later followed by march past by IAF personnel and aerial performance by IAF paratroopers.

The C-17 aircraft with two Su-30MKI performed spectacular flypast followed by an airshow by Mirage 2000. The commencement of the Air Force Day parade was marked by Advanced Light elicopters (ALH) of the Air Force's Sarang team performing aerial manoeuvres.
