Indian Navy to host international fleet review at Vizag in 2016

VISAKHAPATNAM (PTI): The Indian Navy will host the international fleet review here in February 2016, a senior naval officer said Friday.

Speaking after the Independence Day functions here, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Satish Soni said that the Indian Navy will be hosting the international fleet review in February 2016 at Visakhapatnam.

Earlier, ceremonial parade was held at the command parade ground, where Soni took the salute.

The parade was attended by all Flag Officers, Commanding Officers of various ships and other Navy establishments here, apart from service personnel and their family members.

At Navy War Memorial, Vice Admiral V K Namballa, Director General Naval Projects (Visakhapatnam) placed a floral wreath and paid tribute to martyrs.
