Iran's Army, Navy receives new anti-ship cruise missiles


The missile called "Qader" (Able) is built indigenously by Iranian scientists and has a high destructive ability against coastal targets and warships.

TEHRAN (BNS): Iran's Navy and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have received new anti-ship cruise missiles from the Iranian Defence Ministry.

The Qader (Able) anti-ship cruise missiles has a range of 200km, features a short launch time and is able to hit all naval vessels, including frigates and warships, as well as onshore enemy targets. It will boost Iran's naval defence power, the Fars news agency reported on Wednesday.

"Iran has managed to mass produce in the shortest time possible," Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi was quoted as saying in the news report.
