BANGALORE (PTI): Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd said it has supported ISRO's Mars Orbiter Mission by providing satellite structure and propellant tankages.

"We delivered seven types of riveted structural assemblies and four types of welded propellant tankages for the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C25)," HAL Chairman R K Tyagi said in a statement.

"The Company had also delivered bare satellite structure and deck panel to ISRO," he added.

Stating that satellite structure is an assembly of composite and metallic honeycomb sandwich panels with a central composite cylinder, the company said: "The honeycomb panels and the composite cylinder were supplied by HAL's Composite Manufacturing Division and the structural assembly work was carried out at HAL's Aerospace Division."

The payload, propellant systems and solar panels were integrated into the bare structure by ISRO, it added.
