Malaysian Navy's Scorpene submarine docks at Kochi

KOCHI (BNS): The Malaysian Navy's Scorpene submarine KD Tun Razak has arrived in India on a four-day visit.

The vessel, the second Scorpene submarine to be deployed in the Royal Malaysian Navy, reached at the Kochi naval base on Friday, an agency report said quoting naval sources.

The submarine, built by France’s DCNS Group in partnership with Spain's Navanita, set sail for Malaysia from France's Toulon port on April 30, 2010.

The naval vessel was to make several ports of call during its two-month long homeward journey.

The submarine is slated dock at the Lumut port in Malaysia later this month.
