Military personnel visit BrahMos pavilion at DefExpo18

THIRUVIDANTHAI, TAMIL NADU (BNS): The Vice Chief of Air Staff, Indian Air Force and the Master-General of the Ordnance (MGO), Indian Army, on Friday came on a visit to the BrahMos pavilion at DefExpo 2018 where the Joint Venture company is showcasing the BRAHMOS missile in various configurations.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace, DS & DG (BrahMos), DRDO briefed the special visitors about the BRAHMOS weapon system and its recent successful achievements and progress.

The BRAHMOS is the world's fastest supersonic cruise missile. It is a precision strike weapon for Army, Navy as well as Air Force and can be fitted in Ships, Mobile Launchers, Submarines and Aircraft against land and sea targets.

As many as 451 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore were signed during the Defence Expo or DefExpo 2022 at Gandhinagar, a senior official said. During the valedictory function of the 12th edition of DefExpo at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar informed the audience that it had broken previous records in terms of business generation.
