ISLAMABAD (PTI): Admiral Zakaullah was on Thursday appointed as the next chief of the Pakistan Navy.
President Mamnoon Hussain appointed him on the advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Zakaullah was promoted as admiral before his appointment as the new Chief of naval staff.
He would succeed current Navy chief, Admiral Asif Sandila, after his retirement on October 7.
Zakaullah was commissioned in the Navy in 1978 and was serving as the vice-chief of naval staff.
