Russia prepares to launch Progress spacecraft to ISS

MOSCOW (BNS): After launching the Soyuz manned spaceship with three astronauts, Russia now readies its Progress cargo vessel for the International Space Station.

The Progress M-10M space freighter is scheduled to be launched by a Soyuz U rocket from the Baikonur spaceport in Kazakhstan on a supply mission to the ISS on April 27.

The spaceship is presently undergoing testing at the spaceport. Leak test of the spacecraft has just finished. Currently, the vehicle is prepared for its propulsion tanking, federal space agency Roscosmos said.

The spacecraft will carry about 2.5 tons of cargo including propellant, scientific equipment, food, air, water, etc. to the ISS.
