US, S Korea hold joint military drill

SEOUL (BNS): US and South Korea have conducted a joint military drill on Wednesday, according to a media report.

This was the first US and S Korea joint drill held under the Korean forces' command.

In the exercise, ROK brought its mobilized 40 K-1 tanks, four K-200 and K-242 armored cars, three K-277 armored vehicles, two self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and eight rescue vehicles.

US Army included its 28 US M2A3 Bradley fighting vehicles and rescue vehicles.

According to Xinhua, the drill involved more than 800 soldiers ROK's tank battalion and two US squadrons engaged in mobile and free-fighting training at the Mugeonri military training field, north of Seoul
