JALANDHAR (PTI): Practising its war-fighting manoeuvres, the Indian Army today concluded its month-long wargames code named 'Exercise Pine Prahar' in which over 200 tanks and 12,000 personnel participated.

"The operations in the exercise were meticulously planned and executed. Training formations crossed water obstacles with a combination of force multipliers that enhanced their ability to achieve the desired objectives in the shortest time with minimum casualties," the Army said in a release.

A seamless network of information systems, quick and effective decision-making, timely on-call air and artillery support and an enviable logistics back up were all practised through the different phases of the exercise, they added.

Senior officials also visited the exercise area to witness manoeuvres and urged the formation to continue its quest for excellence and to remain ever-ready to achieve every assigned mission.

The Army had held an exercise codenamed Exercise Vijayee Bhava involving its Strike Corps in the desert areas last month to practise its latest war-fighting doctrines.
